IITM BS · Data Science & Electronics
Past papers from Qualifier to Degree, sat in a room that behaves like the real exam: a server-held clock, a question palette, and worked solutions the moment you submit.
If f(x) = 2x + 3, what is f⁻¹(7)?
f⁻¹(7) solves 2x + 3 = 7, so x = 2.
Data Science

Exam mode
Jump between questions, mark them for review, and submit when you are ready. Answers and solutions open after you submit, just like the portal.
Practice mode
No clock. Pick an option and the correct answer and worked solution appear straight away. Bookmark anything you want to revisit before the exam.
Filter by programme, level and term, then open any Quiz 1, Quiz 2, End Term or mock test in the catalogue.
Papers you open stay in your library, so you can come back to a half-finished attempt on any device.
The paper room gives you a clock, a question palette, mark-for-review and a calculator — then takes it away when time is up.
Submit and the marking appears at once: what you got right, what you missed, and the worked reasoning for each question.
Students on the IITM BS degree, from the Qualifier through to Degree level. Every paper, mark scheme and solution is written against that syllabus rather than adapted from a general question bank.
Teaching teams can run their own invigilated exams here: enrolment by verified email, a shared server clock, browser-event warnings, session locking, CSV exports and a full audit history. This is browser-event proctoring — it is evidence for a human review, not a verdict.

Quiz LAB is built by GenZ IITian and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by IIT Madras. Past-paper content is provided for practice. Always check the current syllabus and official announcements on the institute's own portal.
All four IITM BS programmes — Data Science and Applications, Electronic Systems, Aerospace Engineering, and Management and Data Science — across Qualifier, Foundation, Diploma and Degree levels. Within each, you will find Quiz 1, Quiz 2, End Term, mock tests and practice sets. New papers are added as each term's papers are released.
It is built to behave like it: the same one-question-at-a-time layout, question palette, mark-for-review, Save & Next flow, calculator, and the same marking rules including negative marking. It is a practice environment, not the institute's portal, and sitting a paper here has no bearing on your actual results.
Yes. Practice mode has no clock — choose an option and the correct answer and worked solution appear straight away, so you can work through a paper question by question. Exam mode is the timed version with solutions held back until you submit.
The Android app can download a paper to your device and you can sit it with no connection; it syncs when you are back online. The website works on a phone for browsing and practice. Invigilated proctored exams are laptop and desktop only, because the monitoring the browser provides is not available on mobile.
Answers save to the server as you go, and the page tells you plainly whether your latest answer is saved. If a save fails it keeps retrying and you can force one with Save now. Refreshing recovers everything the server has. Because the clock runs server-side, a disconnection does not pause it.
Numerical questions accept an absolute tolerance set per question. Short answers are matched case-insensitively against the accepted answers after trimming whitespace. Multiple-select questions need the exact set of options — partial credit is not awarded. Blank questions score zero rather than a penalty.
Yes. You can request deletion from the account deletion page or in the app. Where exam records have to be retained — for instance an invigilated exam you sat for an institution — we deactivate the account instead and tell you why, rather than destroying records someone else depends on.
